The 2017 Edition is the latest edition, although several updates to correct typos have been made since it was originally issued. Since you\u2019re viewing this page in a web browser, the fastest way to check out our book is to view the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/appliedcombinatorics.org\/book\/\" title=\"\">HTML version<\/a>. This version should look good across the full spectrum of\u00a0devices, although the occasional long equation may require some careful, creative scrolling on small screens. (With MathJax\u2019s accessibility features, this is also the version of the text that is most usable by individuals with visual impairments.)\u00a0The HTML version includes a few snippets of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sagemath.org\/\" title=\"\">SageMath<\/a>\u00a0code that can be executed in place using the Sage Cell Server. The knowls that\u00a0open and retract contain proofs as well as in-place reminders of things like figures, tables, and theorems that appear elsewhere on the page (or\u00a0in another section of the text entirely).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The current HTML edition, which matches the source on Github, is the 2017.3 Edition, which corrects errors through 30 June 2025. Errors are now tracked on <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/mitchkeller\/applied-combinatorics\/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20state%3Aclosed\" title=\"\">GitHub issues<\/a> only and we no longer maintain an errata page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The 2017.2 Edition of\u00a0<em>Applied Combinatorics<\/em> is available in standard ebook formats. PDF is useful for printing a small number of pages, but it is hard to read on phones and tablets when you don\u2019t have internet access (and therefore the HTML version is unavailable). Zooming in on a PDF doesn\u2019t change the page size, so you might need to scroll a lot by the time the font size is reasonable.\u00a0<strong>Thus, we recommend buying an EPUB or Kindle version if you will be frequently reading offline on mobile devices.<\/strong>\u00a0You can buy a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B098XKM9P9\" title=\"\">Kindle version<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<em>Applied Combinatorics\u00a0<\/em>from the Kindle store. Apple Books access to an EPUB version is pending.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/books2read.com\/u\/4Nxrpz\" title=\"\">Other EPUB marketplaces<\/a>\u00a0are available as well. Please note that the EPUB and Kindle versions have been worked with separately because of idiosyncrasies in how the different readers handle math content. If you plan to read on a Kindle device, you really\u00a0<strong>must<\/strong>\u00a0buy the Kindle format. Since Kindle apps are available for most phones and tablets, you can also read the Kindle version very well in those apps. To use eBook readers other than those provided by Amazon, you will want the EPUB format. (Unfortunately, Barnes &amp; Noble is clinging to an outdated EPUB standard for their nook devices, so we are unable to offer a nook version at this time.) EPUB and Kindle pricing is US$7.99.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PDF: We strongly recommend the HTML version for reading on screens of all sizes.\u00a0However,\u00a0it can be handy to have\u00a0the PDF available in case someone with the print copy refers to a page number instead of a section. Thus, we do make a PDF of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/appliedcombinatorics.org\/book-pdf\/app-comb-2017.pdf\" title=\"\">2017 Edition of Applied Combinatorics<\/a>\u00a0available. (Note that the errata corrected for point releases were not corrected for the PDF.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Print: If you\u2019re interested in a physical copy of the book, one is available. In printed form, the book is 391 pages long and grayscale. The ISBN13 is 978-1973702719. Note that the errata corrected for the 2017.1 and 2017.2 Editions were not corrected in the print version. The print version is&nbsp;available from Amazon (both in the US and Europe) as well as other online retailers.
